tewmom > March 24, 2009 This was a street vendor in Dublin. I loved the posters and he couldn't have posed more perfectly if I had asked him. I am still trying to get back in the swing of things after my trip. I need to get caught up on all your photos, I have missed so much. I am back filling my dailies with one shot from each day that I was away. I need to work on my workflow, I am a bit overwhelmed with the amount of photos I need to go through. Have a great day!
tewmom > February 5, 2009 "Winter Blues" As much as I complain about the snow, it has provided us with some spectacular scenery. I drove by this on my way to work yesterday, there were still a few flurries falling from our most recent storm. On a typical day you wouldn't look twice at this scene. However, this morning with the sun beginning to break through the clouds and the snow still clinging to the branches, it was just breathtaking. I processed the raw image using Capture NX2. I have CS3 but it does not recognize raw images from the D90. I have a 60 day trial on this software, trying to decide whether to purchase this or upgrade PS to CS4.

tewmom > July 14, 2009 “I get mail; therefore I am.” ~ Scott Adams As I left my office last night, I saw this squirrel hanging out in the mailbox. We have an outdoor balcony that overlooks wetlands. The previous tenants of the space put a mailbox out on the deck and stored binoculars in it for bird watchers. No clue why the door is open, but the squirrel liked it. I shot this with my G10 through glass, not the greatest quality but it was just too cute! Have a great day!
tewmom > March 29, 2009 "The Early Bird Catches the Worm" I was sitting on my front stairs enjoying the nice spring day with my dog. I saw the Robin in my yard, i went inside to get my camera, anticipating that the bird would probably be gone when I returned. I was pleasantly surprised to see her still standing there, so I started to try and get a shot of her when she reached down and pulled up this worm. She was pretty far away from me and the reach of my camera so this is an extreme crop.

tewmom > February 8, 2009 "Gumdrop Mountains" Do you remember the game "Candy Land"? I played it as a child as did my own children. Who can forget Gramma Nut, King Kandy, the Gingerbread People. It was one of the first board games I bought for my children and we would play it over and over again.
tewmom > July 7, 2009 Hamilton, Bermuda Typical Bermuda scene, I wish I could be there when the lighting was better, this was taken at noon time. I love the color of the chairs and this picture does not do justice to the beautiful blue water.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition.” ~ Rod Sterling The quote from "The Twilight Zone" pretty much sums up the effect I was aiming for, but I don't feel I quite got there. I was fighting with the focusing on my G10, I will have to try this again with my DSLR.
