tewmom > March 10, 2009 Another shot from my visit to the zoo on Saturday. I didn't have any time yesterday to take any pictures. I am leaving for Ireland on Friday so this is a very busy week for me as I try to wrap up lose ends in work and prepare for the trip.
tewmom > March 8, 2009 What a day we had yesterday weather wise. The temperature hovered around 60 degrees, it was so nice. All the snow that fell on Monday is quickly disappearing. I have been eager to give my new 70-300 lens a test run so I headed off to the zoo. I think even the animals were enjoying the wonderful spring day, they seemed to be more active than usual. I was lucky to catch this cheetah as she was getting ready to settle down for a nap. She went through her cleaning routine then struck this pose, then curled up and went to sleep. I was surprised at how this well this came out considering it was shot through a filthy glass window.
tewmom > July 8, 2009 Bermuda Colors I love this island, it is so beautiful and colorful, the people are so friendly. We went down to St. George yesterday, outside one of the outdoor restaurants were a few tables with umbrellas that were closed because of the winds. This is a close up of the different colors of the umbrella. Have a great day everyone!
tewmom > April 1, 2009 "I am indeed a CAT, and this, indeed, is a HAT (The Cat in the Hat)." This is just a silly picture of my cat. My daughters hat was lying on the bed and surprisingly Maggie let me put it on her head and take some pictures.
tewmom > June 6, 2009 Natures Fireworks While on a walk yesterday, I came across a pine tree that had been recently sprayed by the underground sprinklers. The water droplets were hanging from each of the the needles and it reminded me of fireworks in the sky. I applied the Indian Summer Color Ex Pro filter which brought out these red tones, which transformed the image into what my imagination saw. tewmom > March 3, 2009 March has started off with a roar, a Nor'easter dumped over a foot of snow on us. The storm made for a horrible commute to work. The plows were out in full force trying to clear the roads. Hopefully (fingers crossed), this is the last snow storm we will see this winter.
tewmom > February 12, 2009 "Multiplicity" I bought this wall hanging for my daughter. It's purpose is to hang jewelry on all the various nooks and crannies. There is a floor lamp close by with three adjustable lamps which I strategically angled to get the desired shadows I was looking for. I converted this in raw and selected a white balance for fluorescent lights which changed the light blue wall to a soft peachy color, nice surprising effect. I finished this off in PS by applying Topaz Adjust and Simplify for the final image.
tewmom > October 19, 2009 The View Another shot from the scavenger hunt. This was taken at the Hartwell Tavern, I was inside when I noticed this view. What a spectacular fall scene, wish that it was a view from my home.
tewmom > March 24, 2009 This was a street vendor in Dublin. I loved the posters and he couldn't have posed more perfectly if I had asked him. I am still trying to get back in the swing of things after my trip. I need to get caught up on all your photos, I have missed so much. I am back filling my dailies with one shot from each day that I was away. I need to work on my workflow, I am a bit overwhelmed with the amount of photos I need to go through. Have a great day!

"Multiplicity"

I bought this wall hanging for my daughter. It's purpose is to hang jewelry on all the various nooks and crannies. There is a floor lamp close by with three adjustable lamps which I strategically angled to get the desired shadows I was looking for. I converted this in raw and selected a white balance for fluorescent lights which changed the light blue wall to a soft peachy color, nice surprising effect. I finished this off in PS by applying Topaz Adjust and Simplify for the final image.
