Mall Madness

Only 3 shopping days left and the mall is full of crazy shoppers looking for last minute gifts and deals. American Eagle, Abercrombie, Bath & Body Works, Aerospostle, GAP..........so many stores, so many choices, only 72 hours left............... This was how we felt while shopping at the mall with a million strangers. Just navigating the parking lot and trying to find a space was challenge enough. As I was walking down the stairs by the food court I looked up and noticed the atrium glass roof. I really like how the mall is reflected in the glass in this dizzying effect, kind of how it felt just being at the mall.

Nor'Easter

Compared to the folks south of us, we got off pretty easy with this storm. Hard to tell the official total of snow, but I am guessing in my neck of the woods about 10 inches. Thankfully the storm wrapped up mid afternoon and then we were off to the mall to finish up the Christmas shopping.

Only 11 days to go, things are getting busy for everyone but the dogs. On a cold rainy day, my boys snuggled up by the fire getting all toasty warm.

Dreaming Of A Doggie Christmas

I’m dreaming of slow squirrel
One I could catch and make my toy
Or a lovely shoe
That I could chew
Would add greatly to my joy

I’m dreaming of a dog biscuit
Tall as a house and twice as wide
Little toys that squeak
And kids that shriek
And huge bones made of rawhide

I’m dreaming of a huge buffet
With all the plates at table’s edge
Grabbing hefty portions
Of people rations
Before they go in the fridge

I’m dreaming of a long walkie
One where I choose where I will go
Greeting doggie friends
Sniffing both ends
Our tails wagging to and fro

I'm dreaming of a soft pillow
all to myself and end of day
Where I snore the evening away
Storing energy for doggie play...

First Christmas

Our first Christmas ornament to adorn the tree as a married couple. This ornament has a double dose of sentimental value to me. The first is obvious, the second is that my wonderful aunt who at age 39 lost her battle with breast cancer gave this ornament to me and my husband on what turned out to be her last Christmas with us.

I took this shot for the November Scavenger Hunt, the subject being eyes. The actual shot kind of creeped me out so I started playing around with various filters in PS. I don't think I could recreate this if I tried, lost track of all the different things I tried. I liked the end result, hope you do to.

Generations

What a wonderful Thanksgiving day with all the family and a few dear friends. I took this shot of my husbands Mom, sister, and our daughter, three beautiful loving woman that I am grateful to have in my life each and every day.

I attempted to take portraits of my nephews for my sister in law. The sun was high in the sky with not a cloud in site. Actually a beautiful day to be outdoors, but a nightmare to photograph in. I am not sure how I should have handled this, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
